The infrared (808 nm) light of the SAFE LASER 500 Infra penetrates significantly deeper than red-light lasers, with biological effects reaching depths of up to 8 cm. It is highly effective in supporting the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, cartilage degeneration, joint inflammation, sports injuries, and deeper soft tissue and tendon-related problems.
Despite its high performance, the SAFE LASER 500 Infra can be safely used at home. Thanks to its wide range of accessories, it can also be effectively applied in dental treatments, ENT conditions, and sinus-related complaints.
Injuries
Overuse-Related Conditions
Degenerative Disorders
Musculoskeletal disorders can cause problems and pain in various parts of the body and often affect multiple joints.
Low-level laser therapy can significantly shorten the recovery time of traumatic and sports injuries!
When applied before surgery, it accelerates the absorption of hematomas and edema, improves accessibility of the surgical area, and helps reduce pain.
After surgery, use the laser 1–2 times daily to support faster recovery.
Place the Safe Laser 500 Infra directly on the painful or injured area in contact mode and illuminate for the specified time, then move it to the next point.
Several points can be treated consecutively depending on the size of the painful or injured area. Generally, pressure-sensitive ("trigger") points should be treated.
For maximum safety, switch on the laser only after placing it on the skin surface to avoid accidental eye exposure. At the end of the treatment, switch it off before removing it from the skin.
Tissues located deeper than 8 cm can be reached more effectively by gently pressing the Safe Laser 500 Infra treatment head into the tissues.
If the laser cannot be placed directly on the skin, for example because of an open wound, hold it as close as possible (maximum 0.5 cm away). In this case, extend the treatment time by 1 minute per point to ensure that the necessary amount of energy reaches the body for healing.
Different conditions and diseases require different amounts of energy (Joules) for effective healing. Higher energy delivery is achieved through longer irradiation times.
4–5 Joules of energy = minimum 2–2.5 minutes of irradiation:
Strains, bruises, muscle spasms, microcirculation improvement, mild musculoskeletal injuries, acute and chronic inflammations, dental and oral conditions, skin problems.
15 Joules of energy = 3 minutes of irradiation:
Pain relief and treatment of more severe musculoskeletal disorders.
25 Joules of energy = 5 minutes of irradiation:
Cartilage regeneration, treatment of deeper musculoskeletal injuries, ligament, muscle and tendon tears, bone fractures (initially even twice daily).
With fiber optic accessory: 4–8 Joules of energy = 15–30 seconds of irradiation.
With nasal applicator: 4 Joules of energy = 3 minutes of irradiation.
The frequency of treatments depends on how long the condition has been present. (How long ago did the problem occur?)
1. Acute conditions
For recently developed conditions and post-surgical cases: use daily for 1–2 weeks, then three times per week until symptoms disappear. Improvement is often noticeable during the first treatment or within 24 hours.
2. Chronic conditions
For conditions that have existed for more than 6–8 weeks: treat three times per week until symptoms disappear or are significantly reduced.
Recovery may take longer in chronic conditions. In painful cases, symptoms may temporarily worsen (treatment reaction).
If there is no improvement, increase the treatment time by 2–3 minutes.
If symptoms worsen, reduce the dosage.
For muscles: treat the pressure-sensitive ("trigger") points.
For joints: treat along the joint line, which can be opened by flexion.
For tendons: treat at the tendon attachment and at the muscle-tendon junction.
The Safe Laser Infra illuminates a large area, making it effective even if positioning is not perfectly precise.
Infrared laser light penetrates significantly deeper than red-light lasers, delivering biological effects at depths of up to 8 cm. It is widely used as supportive therapy for musculoskeletal conditions, helping reduce discomfort and inflammation while supporting the recovery of muscles, tendons, and joints. At higher doses, it may also contribute to cartilage regeneration and joint surface support.
